KitchenAid Refrigerator Water Filters by Model

KitchenAid refrigerators use Whirlpool's everydrop filters. The models we've verified take Filter 1, Filter 2 or Filter 4, and the filter number tells you which one fits.

KitchenAid filters we cover

The same filters also fit refrigerators from Maytag, Whirlpool and Kenmore.

Identifying your KitchenAid filter

  • The everydrop number (Filter 1, 2, 4…) and part number are printed on the filter in your fridge now.
  • Of the models we've verified, French door models use Filter 2 (EDR2RXD1) or Filter 4 (EDR4RXD1), and the KRSC503ESS side-by-side uses Filter 1 (EDR1RXD1).
  • Some model families change filter between production versions: for example, parts sites list Filter 4 for the KRFC302ESS00 but Filter 2 for the KRFC302ESS06. Always check the full model number, including the last two digits.

An everydrop filter from Whirlpool. Which one depends on the model, so look up your full model number or read the number on your current filter.

Yes. W10413645A is the older part number that everydrop Filter 2 (EDR2RXD1) replaces.

Do KitchenAid filters change the same way as Whirlpool filters?

Yes, the everydrop filters install the same way in both brands. Our Whirlpool guide covers the steps.
